UPDATE 5/12/20: We are happy to announce that The Green Man will be offering curbside service for preordered/prepaid orders on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays! Wed & Fri noon-5:30; Sun 1-3:30 For the safety of our staff and our community, here are the rules:

Face coverings must be worn by both staff and customers.

In accordance with Los Angeles city guidelines, we can not allow customers into the store. Please knock and we will bring your order to the door.

If waiting outside for the order, please maintain 6′ distance from others.

Orders not picked up before end hours will not be available until the next curbside day. There will be NO pickups on days not designated for curbside service.

We are temporarily not selling any herbs or oils other than our incense blends and conjure oils, until we know our vendors can keep up with demand.

Dear Green Man Family,

Like all of you, we are vigilantly watching and monitoring the escalating situation with COVID-19. As there seems to be no clear instruction or guidance from the government, we are following world news and taking a proactive stance. The health and safety of our community members, staff & teachers is a top priority for us, and we are taking this very seriously. The CDC and WHO are currently recommending a temporary cessation of large gatherings. As devastating as it is, at this time it seems prudent that we cancel our April 25 Beltane Festival. People who have already bought tickets will be issued a full refund. If things somehow turn around quickly, we may just throw it together at the last second. Also, because we can’t know how long such restrictions may apply, we have made the decision not to hold our annual Witches Ball this year.

Also, we are canceling March’s Vision Quest and both Ostara rituals. We will continue to monitor the situation and will keep you informed on future events as things continue to unfold.

As our classes draw smaller groups of people together and are more easily transferred to different mediums we are withholding canceling them for the time being and are instead postponing classes for the next week (through March 16, 2020).  During this week we will create a strategy to ensure that you can continue to safely participate in our classes and community. This will likely mean we move much of our live/in person content online. We will likely also make our stores products available in alternative ways. We will keep you informed via our facebook page, instagram and website.

At this time, it is our intention to continue to serve our community by remaining open for business as usual in the store. We are diligently increasing our sanitary practices to make this as safe as possible for everyone concerned. We have hand sanitizers in place for staff members and customers. Bathrooms are being cleaned regularly. We are frequently sanitizing all high touch areas such as counters, doorknobs, handles, and chip readers. We are wearing gloves when handling your herb orders.

We have built and fostered a thriving community here at The Green Man that gathers and supports one another in good times and bad, and for us that means continuing to do the work we do. We also want to keep our community safe, and that will dictate how we respond to the current moment. We have many members within our community who are considered at risk, so we all need to be mindful in order to protect them. We hope to be establishing ongoing services online, so in the event we are isolated, we can still work together as a community.

With all of this said we request that you continue to provide us with your business in whatever way possible so that we are here to continue serving you at the end of this crisis. We will make our classes available online, our readers available by phone, our products available online and by pick up at the store (you can call us to place an order and we will have your order ready for you at the store for pick-up or we can ship it to you), and our spell crafting services will be available online and by store pick up as well.

In case you haven’t already seen this, here are the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Los Angeles County Department of Public Health:

• Stay at home if you are feeling sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
• Wash your hands frequently with soap and hot water.
• Avoid touching your face, mouth, and eyes.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas and surfaces such as counters, tabletops, doorknobs, railings, light switches, toilets, phones, keyboards, remote controls, tablets, and bedside tables.
• Practice simple social distancing strategies from those who are sick, such as verbal salutations instead of handshakes or hugs; not sharing utensils, cups, and linens; and keeping a distance of six feet apart.
